"Belarus has a problem with the drying of pine plantations. The greatest number of victims of forest plantations is the Brest, Gomel and the South of the Minsk region, including Starobin, Starye Dorogi and Luban forestry", - said Alexander uhrin.

At the moment the forestry normally conduct health and Wellness activities, including clear cutting, selective sanitation cutting, cleaning trash.

Аs reported, in Belarus, especially in the southern regions, there is a pathological phenomenon - the mass shrinkage of pine plantations, which was called "bark-drying of pine". Extreme weather conditions in recent years (decrease in rainfall, lowering of groundwater, long dry periods, hurricane winds) have led to outbreaks of mass reproduction of stem pests - apex and six-lobed bark beetles.
