Some of them died brave in the struggle for the freedom of their beloved homeland. Among them N. A. Sancevic — Commissioner of main wood preservation at SNK of the USSR by Byelorussian SSR; R. C. the Snare — head of independent enterprises Management authorized Pavlikeni; S. A. Onufriev — Director of the Borisov forestry; N. A. Nekhaychik Director in August of forestry; P. K. Juran — Director of the Polotsk College of forest and other forestry workers.

Many of them were awarded orders and medals of the Soviet Union for heroism during the great Patriotic war. Five orders, for example, the Director of the Kalinkavichy forestry S. L. and interface science and Director of Smorgon K. E. Bulanov, and the Minister of forestry of the Byelorussian SSR S. T. Moiseenko, head of the Minsk Directorate of forestry M. P. Zakharov had four orders. Director Mozyr forestry N.&S. Babarikin was awarded three orders. Two of the order had Director Vasilevichi forestry, Rogachev I. M. Chmielewski and G. M. Kopytov, chief Forester of the forestry of Turov N. P. Lytvyn, head of the Department of mechanization of a forestry and wood processing Ministry of forestry of the Byelorussian SSR A. M. Karas.

For courage and heroism the title Of hero of the Soviet Union was awarded to the organizer of the first partisan detachment in Belarus V. Z. Korzh, who in the postwar years worked as Deputy Minister of forestry of the BSSR. Five valiant soldiers of the Soviet army, who worked in forestry, were awarded the highest military award-the orders of Glory of three degrees.

After the defeat of the Nazi invaders warriors, foresters, actively restored forest sector of the Republic, which had suffered enormous damage during the years of German occupation.

For the big personal contribution to restoration and development of forestry many soldiers foresters are awarded with an honorary title "Honored Forester of BSSR" and other high awards. Chmielewski, A. I. Litvinov, E. N. Krivchenia, P. K. Matveenko, I. P  Grishchenko, T. & nbsp;M Kochetkov, I. I & nbsp;Smirnov, N. P.  Kozhemyakin and others.

Now living generations are indebted to those who fell on the battlefield by the death of the brave and those who survived the merciless battles and liberated the world from the fascist plague.
