More than 3 million cubic meters of wood destined for recycling, harvested in a total amount of 177 million rubles sold at the annual auction, held from 29 November to 1 December at JSC "Belarusian universal commodity exchange", according to BelTA with reference to the press-Secretary of the BUCE Roman Yaniv.

"compared to the previous year's trading, the sales volume in natural expression has increased by almost a quarter, while in monetary terms the growth amounted to 15 %. Thus, the current auction has become the largest in the history of the exchange," explained Roman Yaniv.

According to the Belarusian legislation, at the annual exchange auction at least 40% of planned annual volume of wood, and the rest is sold on quarterly and current exchange trading. At the annual auction of 2017 implemented 75 % of set volume.

Among buyers resource as follows: concern "Bellesbumprom" bought 641,2 thousand cubic meters, the enterprises belonging to the holding company associations of woodworking industries JSC "development Bank of the Republic of Belarus", went 488,2 thousand cubic meters, and the remaining 1 in 956, 5 thousand cubic meters purchased other buyers of different forms of ownership.
